Throughout my singing career, I have always enjoyed giving singing lessons and took my first tentative steps as a director.
I studied singing and opera at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. After graduating, I focused mainly on musical theater and opera, ranging from early Baroque, Romanticism to contemporary repertoire. In addition to my work as a soloist, I also worked for many years as a choir singer, serving as a substitute in choirs such as the choir of the National Opera and the Radio Choir. Throughout my singing career, I have always enjoyed giving singing lessons and took my first tentative steps as a director. After ending my active singing career, giving singing lessons, recording audiobooks, directing small-scale musical theater and opera, and creating full-fledged performances with choirs and small vocal ensembles became my main activities.
