  • Born in Rotterdam in 1960 into a musical family.

  • Studied between 1978 and 1988 at the Rotterdam Conservatory and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.

  • Graduated cum laude in 1988 from the opera program at the Royal Conservatory.

  • Had a beautiful son in 1989.

  • From 1989 to 2006, was a soloist with ensembles and companies such as Camerata Trajectina, Opera SKON, and Opera Xynix (now Holland Opera).

  • Between 1986 and 2019, gave numerous lieder recitals and was an alto soloist in many oratorio concerts with conductors such as Daniel Reuss, Niek Idelenburg, Boudewijn Janssen, Hans van der Toorn, and many others.

  • From 1993 to 2013, was a regular substitute with the choir of the Dutch Opera (now National Opera) and the Radio Choir.

  • Sang in and directed four operas by Warner van Es between 1989 and 2019 (all available on YouTube).

  • Between 2006 and 2008, completed the Basic Training in Haptonomy in Doorn.

  • Also took additional courses in CVT, Lichtenberger, and Universal Voice.

  • Has been directing choirs and small vocal ensembles since 2011, including the theater choir Voice Female (various clips available on YouTube).

  • Has been giving private singing lessons since obtaining her teaching qualification in 1986.
